Michael Adair is a Cologne-based exhibition and architectural photographer specialising in museums, art fairs, and interiors across Europe.

His work includes photographic documentation for TEFAF Maastricht/NYC, Frieze Masters London, and Art Brussels, as well as the complete exhibition documentation of Dolce & Gabbana’s “Dal cuore alle mani” in Milan.

Alongside his exhibition work, he pursues an ongoing series, The Art of Craft, documenting traditional craft and manufacture in situ, including Rosenthal's porcelain workshops, the Gipsformerei in Berlin, and the silversmiths of Jarosinski & Vaugoin in Vienna.

His photographs of some of Europe’s most significant cultural and heritage sites, from the Sistine Chapel to the grand interiors of historic palaces, reflect a particular interest in architecture, craftsmanship, and the quiet details often overlooked in grand spaces. This same sensibility extends to his work in luxury hospitality and interiors, capturing hotels, spas, and restaurants with a meticulous attention to light, material, and atmosphere.

Michael’s work has also taken him well beyond museum walls, including expeditions to Antarctica and the Geographic North Pole, documenting some of the most remote and demanding environments on Earth.

Originally from Canada, Michael has lived in Cologne for 15 years and works across Germany, Europe, and internationally.
